HOW STRONG CAPTAIN AMERICA HAS TO BE TO CURL A HELICOPTER
Marvel comics characters have been able to pull off some impressive stunts over the years, from the ability to fly to power over a person’s thoughts and even control over technology, however, in Captain America: Civil War, the first Avenger may have pulled off the most impressive feat yet.
During one scene in the latest Marvel blockbuster, Captain America, played by Chris Evans in the film, can be seen grabbing a helicopter with his bare hands just as it’s about to take off. It tries to fly away but he somehow manages to hold onto the aircraft and pull it back to the ground
While chasing down an escaping helicopter so you can confront your arch nemesis is a problem that most people will likely never encounter, it did get some wondering about how much strength it would take to accomplish this in real life
The people behind the popular website, The Nerdist, a haven for all things comic book and sci-fi related, reviewed the scene and decided to do the math on what it would actually take for Captain America to be able to do this.

First it’s important to know the model of the helicopter in order to be as accurate as possible in your findings. The helicopter appears to be an Airbus AS350.
A helicopter of this model has the lifting capacity of about three thousand pounds, meaning that Captain America would have to be ten times stronger than the world’s strongest person.
While it’s unlikely that anyone actually thought that this was possible in real life, it’s nice to have a little perspective at just how strong these superheroes really are.
